She is a Geriatrician at Western Health currently.
She enjoys providing comprehensive geriatric assessment and management, with special interests in falls and balance, and dementia.
Apart from honing communication skills, Dr Baey also has experience in managing a range of geriatric syndromes including frailty, dementia, behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), delirium, falls, osteoporosis, continence, polypharmacy, as well as advance care planning and end-of-life discussions.
Dr Chan graduated from Monash University and completed his Geriatric Medicine training working in The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Austin Health. He currently works as a Geriatrician at Austin Health.
His areas of interest include chronic disease management, polypharmacy and management of Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) in residential care facilities.
She works in Eastern Health in General Medicine and Geriatrics and is also involved in teaching Medical students and junior doctors.
She devotes herself in providing her patients a holistic and patient centred approach. Her interests are polypharmacy management, falls prevention and advance care planning.
Dr Chong is fluent in Mauritian, Creole and enjoys a walk in nature during her free time.
He put importance in evidence based medicine in clinical work and has interest in all matters related to geriatric medicine from comprehensive geriatric assessment to acute and Ortho-geriatric medicine. Paul also currently works in Monash Health.
He previously worked as a Geriatrician in Western Australia, before spending 2 years in Bristol and London, UK working on the acute Aged Care wards and supervising junior doctor education.
He has an interest in dementia management and falls.
During her training, Catrina gained experience in Intensive Care, General Medicine and Palliative Care, completing a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine through the Palliative Medicine Chapter of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
In addition to general Geriatric Medicine, Catrina has an interest in advanced care planning as a dynamic process of identifying relevant health goals through stages of life.
She has also completed a Master of Medicine that encompassed core studies in perioperative medicine and additional studies in healthcare quality improvement.
Bonnie’s areas of interest include advance care planning, chronic disease and symptom management, as well as Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) management, especially in residential care facilities.
Dr. McDonald is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to residents in aged care facilities, with a strong emphasis on enhancing their quality of life. Her clinical interests extend to managing chronic diseases and promoting health span and overall well-being.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. McDonald is actively engaged in research and service development, particularly in the field of trauma geriatrics.
As a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician, he is an expert in all essential aspects of healthcare for older adults. His clinical practice is centred on providing quality care. His areas of focus include comprehensive health assessment, perioperative medicine, cancer supportive & survivorship care, fall prevention, and lymphoedema management.
His research on ageing, frailty, and resiliency, published in highly-regarded medical journals such as the Lancet Healthy Longevity, focuses on developing integrated care models to improve health outcomes for older adults, particularly those with cancer.
He has an interest in dementia, polypharmacy, falls and management of Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) in residential care facilities.
En’en works at Northern Health as a Geriatrician and Hospital in the Home Physician, as well as a clinical tutor with the University of Melbourne Medical School.
Her areas of interests include continence management, frailty, advance care planning, as well as navigating the intersection between chronic disease management and palliative care in residential care facilities.
Dr Wu also works as a general physician at St Vincent’s Hospital and Eastern Health.
His areas of interest include cognitive assessment, management of dementia, falls, and other chronic diseases.
Dr Wu is fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien.
He has a keen interest in cognitive assessment, chronic disease management (including dementia), and falls/movement disorder. He is fluent in Mandarin.
Dr Yap received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Melbourne in 2016. She completed her Geriatric Medicine training in 2023 through Alfred, Austin and Northern Health.
Currently, she works as a Geriatrician at Northern Health, across acute inpatient wards, outpatient memory and complex decision-making clinics, and residential in-reach services.
Dr. Yap’s clinical interests revolve around dementia, frailty, and perioperative medicine. She takes great satisfaction in supporting patients and families facing challenging health decisions and providing personalised care.
Her areas of interest are: comprehensive health assessment for older people, chronic disease management, falls prevention/bone health, cognitive assessment, and BPSD management.
She also speaks fluent Mandarin.
